Final entry, at least from the cruise ship. Our short visit to Nassau, Bahamas, left us thinking of three words, all beginning with T. Tacky tourist trap. I admit, we didn’t get far from the ship, in part because we’d seen those t-shirt shops before and because we were not in the market for high-end duty free items (and if had we been, I was immediately distrustful of a shop devoted strictly to Rolex, for example).
I’m guessing there may be some nice resorts where you could come and stay, lounge on the beach, relax, play golf, etc. In fact, I was surprised at the number of people on the cruise whose primary goal was to play golf in each of our destinations. I wouldn’t have thought of that, myself, but at each port there they were, taking their clubs down the gangway. I guess it would be cool, if I wanted to play (and pay for) that much golf on high end courses.
We enjoyed our dolphin encounter, which was devoted at least as much to selling pictures of you with the dolphin as educating and protecting. Still it was fun and I ended up with the best picture I’ve ever taken (as a subject, not a photographer).
I mentioned before how “small” our cruise ship was. The picture above gives a little better idea of our relative size next to a Carnival and Royal Caribbean ship. The other one pictured is a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. The line to get back on the Carnival ship as we came into port looked like rush hour on I-64. We’ve decided we’d rather do fewer cruises even if it means paying a little more (and on those ships you pay for EVERYTHING, including even some of the “premium” restaurants, so I’m not sure the bottom line cost difference is all that significant).
We’re heading for Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) and a long day of waiting and flying (and hopefully landing) to St. Louis. It’s been a great trip, but we’ll be glad to reconnect with our family. Dorothy was right. “There’s no place like home!”

What ship are you on Bob...Carnival and Norwegian are huge but I am a fan of Holland America, not as many people and not nearly as big of a ship.

    1. We were on Regent Seven Seas, about 500 passengers. As you can see, not nearly as big as the other guys (although Norwegian was the next smallest. FWIW, I haven't found anyone saying anything good about Norwegian.)

I would be in that crowd...Norwegian is the king of the add on, everything is an upgrade with cost. Disney costs more but was the best line I have cruised on...glad you are having a great time.
